Student competitions offered through WMTA and MTNA inspire musical growth and recognize student achievement.
District Competitions
District competitions are the first-round competitions, held at 12 sites throughout Wisconsin for Keyboard, Vocal, Instrumental, Ensemble, and Adult Students.
Regional Keyboard
Competitions
These are the second-round competitions, held at three sites throughout Wisconsin. These competitions determine the regional winners in grades 7–12 and qualify participants for the State Competition.
State Keyboard
Competitions
This is the final round of competitions, held at one site. This round determines the single winner for each 7–12 grade level in each region.

Adult Students
This is the final competition held at one site for Vocal, Instrumental, Ensemble, and all Adult students.
